gimmix software package provides graphical music player daemon (MPD) client using GTK+2, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gimmix
gimmix is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gimmix package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gimmix *
You will get with gimmix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
